Humberstone Gate
203 Squadron had a display on Humberstone Gate outside Haymarket Shopping Centre, Leicester alongside soldiers and officers from the the Medical Regiment, the Royal Anglian Regiment, the Military Working Dogs, and the Army Careers Office.
Our twelve tonne MAN SV vehicles proved very popular with the residents of Leicester with many of the shoppers getting pictures of themselves inside the front cab of the vehicle. For many of the delighted children it seemed like Christmas had come early!
Moments of joy for the children, and moments of amazement from the parents when we told them that they could be driving these vehicles in their spare time as part of the Royal Logistic Corps. They looked even more amazed when we told them they get paid for all the time they spend training with the Army Reserves.
