Open Evening 2017
Yesterday evening 203 Squadron opened its doors to our families, our friends, and the community as we welcomed everyone on our first open evening of the year.
There were a number of stands that were set up around Squadron (Seen in the above pictures) replicating various aspects of Army Life, including a full field kitchen, a CBRN kit display, a standard Army kit issue and Figure 11 targets which are used on live fire ranges.
The troops at Squadron were also taken for a lesson in the vehicle yard which included the movement and control of fork lifts trucks, and loading/unloading of a MAN SV.
Today was also a special event for three members of Squadron, Cpl Ball, Cpl Betts, and Pte Gregg, as they each received their well earned Volunteer Reserves Service Medal. This is presented to soldiers who have served a minimum period of time within the Army and met qualifying criteria.
Our skilled in-house chefs also prepared a warming chilli for all to enjoy after the VRS medals were presented. Congratulations to all at Squadron for their amazing contributions throughout the year.
