Squadron team building exercise
Last night, on the first training night of the new tax year, training at Squadron was a little different to normal.
Instead of focusing on squadron matters i.e. annual training events, prepping for a lesson or weekend, training consisted of a good old team building exercise.
So, in place of an evening at squadron, everyone headed out for a couple games of laser quest!
With a quick walk to ‘Laser Quest Loughborough’, we signed in, were allocated a chip to track our scores, and ready to go.
The first game was a free-for-all and you can imagine the excited carnage that followed – just like a room full of children! Congratulations to Pte Julie Lees for achieving first place in this game, and also for getting top score of the day!
The second was a team match between the red team, blue team, purple team, and multi-coloured team. This one was a little more controlled as some of the teams decided to hold an area and put up a more defensive line, whereas other teams took a more free flowing approach.
These teambuilding activities are perfect opportunities to work on team relationships and cohesion whilst also practicing leadership principles.
An exciting and eventful first day of the new year with plenty more events coming up.
