Remembrance Day 2016
Residents of Loughborough may have seen 203 Squadron proudly march through the streets of this market town to remember, honour and pay our respects to all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to secure and protect our freedom. Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day, marks the end of World War One when at 11am on the 11th November 1918, the signing of the armistice between the Allies and Germany took place.
Hundreds of people took to the streets to watch the parade which concluded with a service held at the Carillon Tower and a two-minute silence. After the service, members of 203 Squadron marched back through the town to the Army Reserve Centre. Here they were met by their friends and family for a traditional curry lunch that was very skilfully prepared by our squadron's own chefs.
