Arms & Services

203 Squadron attended an Arms & Services evening hosted by East Midlands Universities Officer Training Corps (EMUOTC), based in Beeston, Nottinghamshire.

At this type of event, the aim is to provide the Officer Cadets with a wider view on both the Army Reserve and the Regular Army by allowing them to interact and engage with a number of different corps. By doing so, they are able to learn about all the different job roles that each cap badge has to offer.

We were joined by our colleagues from 162 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) who specialise in Postal, Courier and Movement Control. Over the course of the evening, we presented to over one hundred officer cadets, telling them about types of training opportunities, as well as our individual military experiences such as why we first joined the Army and why we chose the RLC.

After the presentations had concluded and evening meal was served and hungrily devoured, we retired to the Mess to relax with a G&T and answer any final questions before heading back to our squadrons.

We had an enjoyable day, and hope that all those who attended our stand learnt something about the RLC that they may not have already known.
