Trinity College, Loughborough

Students from Trinity College, Loughborough visited 203 Squadron today for an insight and teamwork morning similar to the one we conducted last week at Leicester College.

The students saw a kit display where they were able to try on an issue helmet, body armour and a respirator before working as a team against the clock to waterproof and pack all the kit that would be needed to deploy directly into the field.

The students also had a team challenge to complete (seen in the top right picture) which involved retrieving the 'packages' using two ropes looped over each other and a hook, all without stepping into the square or touching the benches.

Once they had completed the two tasks, they were then shown one of our 6 tonne MAN SV vehicles and allowed to climb into the front cab and see how a load would be distributed on the rear flat bed.

Last but not least, the students could then test their aiming skills on our indoor laser range using Biathlon rifles before a last minute Q&A session and back to school for them.

We love engaging with members of the community and answering all their questions about the Army Reserve and the Royal Logistic Corps. Hopefully the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we hope to engage more with the community in the New Year!
